When my mom was young she made holy water by making the sign of the cross and blessing some bathroom water to ward off vampires. She kept it under her bed so she could reach down and grab it quickly in case Dracula decided he wanted a taste of some young and tender chocolate thunder.
Harkening back to my mother's wise preparations and Catholic upbringing, I have decided I need to make a special incense designed to ward away all men over the age of 50 who have a wandering eye. The following story explains, in part, why I need such protection:
Mom and I took a cruise to the Bahamas, during which the Temptations were booked to perform a couple of shows. I turned 21 during the trip and on the night of my birthday I got dressed up in a form-fitting black dress. As my mom and I entered the elevator to go to the main floor, I noticed an older black man sporting a disturbing smirk standing in the back of the car. He looked kinda like the man in the picture except he sported a shoulder length jerri curl.
As the car moved downward I stared at the elevator doors and felt him staring at me. Well, at my boo-hoo-tie. I let out a small breath of relief as he made his way to the front of the elevator to exit. However, before he stepped away he looked me up and down and handed me a card. As the elevator doors closed I looked at the card. It said:
YOU TEMPT ME
I have been scarred ever since.
